43g Special Ultra Fine German Rooting Needles
Pack of 10 needles
Needle for very fine micro-rooting. Felting Needle Made in Germany.
The needle size (38,40,42, etc) refers to the thickness of the needle. The higher the number the finer the point of the needle. There are also differences between the alignment and size of the barbs. We’ve conducted comprehensive trials to determine which needles we should stock.
Due to the fact that mohair, depending on the quality and age of the animal, can come in differing thicknesses, the rooting results can often vary even when the same needles are used. The softness/thickness of the vinyl can also heavily affect the result.
43g Special – A single barb directly on the point of the needle. Please note: the needle must be parallel to the hair when rooting in order to take a hair. The needle has a 43g point and ultra-fine barb. This makes it particularly good for fine mohair and vinyl. Through a light rotation of the needle it is possible to regulate the amount of hair that is taken with the needle as if the bar is not parallel to the hair it will take less/no hair. (We don’t recommend this needle to beginners due to the necessary technique.)
